NEA Teacher Evaluation Toolkit
In 2011, a workgroup of National Education Association staff and leaders designed an electronic teacher evaluation toolkit. The toolkit facilitates developing, implementing, and sustaining high-quality evaluation and accountability systems that enhance instruction and improve student learning. It also helps members understand, bargain, and/or advocate for: teacher evaluation, peer assistance, peer assistance and review, and fair dismissal by providing resources and model language. The toolkit is not meant to be prescriptive; rather it is designed to enable you to become better advocates for teacher evaluation and accountability systems that are transparent, fair, comprehensive, and improve teaching and learning.
The toolkit is available on www.nea.org. Click here to access it.
